Taiwan’s Security: The View from Political Science

On Friday, November 19th, the Asia Policy Program of the Strauss and Clements Center is partnering with UT’s Center for Taiwan Studies to co-sponsor Taiwan’s Security: The View from Political Science. Topics will include multilateral disputes over maritime claims in Asia, U.S. relations with Taiwan, and recent cross-Strait tensions, among other issues. 

This webinar will be moderated by APP affiliate Dr. Scott Wolford. It will feature remarks from Ming-chin Monique Chu from the University of Southampton, David Kang from University of Southern California, Raymond Kuo at the RAND Corporation, and Cathy Xuanxuan Wu from Old Dominion University.

Ming-chin Monique Chu, Lecturer in Chinese Politics, within Politics & International Relations at the University of Southampton.

David Kang, Maria Crutcher Professor of International Relations at the University of California, with appointments in both the School of International Relations and the Marshall School of Business.

Raymond Kuo, political scientist at the RAND Corporation, with expertise in international security, international order, and East Asia.

Cathy Xuanxuan Wu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science & Geography and the Graduate Program in International Studies at Old Dominion University.
