Unraveling the Threads: China, Geopolitics, and Supply Chain Threats

On Tuesday, February 13, the Clements Center for National Security, the Asia Policy Program, and the Texas McCombs Center for Global Business hosted Megan Reiss, founder and CEO of SolidIntel Inc. and former national security policy advisor for U.S. Senator Mitt Romney, for a talk on “Unraveling the Threads: China, Geopolitics, and Supply Chain Threats.”

Dr. Meg Reiss is the founder and CEO of SolidIntel Inc., an early stage venture–backed generative AI company that derisks supply chains. She is concurrently a nonresident senior fellow at the Scowcroft Strategy Initiative of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security and a visiting fellow at the George Mason School of Law’s National Security Institute. She is also a Schmidt Futures International Strategy Fellow.

Most recently, Dr. Reiss spent four and a half years as US Senator Mitt Romney’s national security policy advisor where she oversaw his national security and foreign policy portfolios. Previously, she was a senior national security fellow for the R Street Institute, a senior editor of Lawfare, and a senior national security fellow for then US Senator Ben Sasse. Dr. Reiss has a BA from Stanford University, an LLM from the University of Nottingham School of Law, and a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin.
