Her article “Xi’s Security Obsession”, discusses factors that influence President Xi Jinping’s vision of security and his pursuit of a preventive grand strategy. She contends that regime security concerns will continue to drive Chinese foreign policy and explains how this could lead to increasingly assertive behavior abroad. “Since he came to power in 2012, the Chinese leader Xi Jinping has been laser-focused on ensuring the security of his regime” she writes.
